Wyverns: Worth It?

As the title says, I am forced to wonder one thing: Are wyverns even worth the effort at this stage of the game?

Easiest and cheapest way to kill Alpha rexes or annoyoing gigas , good for defending supply drops on ext so yeah pretty worth it

Wyverns for me have become just a quick transport creature or for getting more wyvern eggs. Apart from that I have no use for them

Outside of pLaying wirh Primal Fear a wyvern is my goto dino.

I don't like them just because they land stupidly. I'd rather use fire arrows and a great pump shotgun to kill the big stuff.

OP, you asked if Wyverns are worth it, and you gave zero information about where you are in the game, or what playstyle you have, or what kind of games you are playing.(solo, PVE, PVP)

Yeh sry my comment was for PVE. Only use for wyverns on PVE is transport and collecting more eggs

I only play official PVP but so far wyverns are in a stable area i guess

Pros

they can carry almost any creature smaller than a Rex which is cool and makes them great for taming or for trolling in PVP and they are also fairly easy to raise you just gotta make a wyvern trap and knock out a female for milk which you then feed your baby

they have a decent amount of health and damage with a level 180s having about 9k+ health and a good amount of damage depending on the Wyvern type.

Wyvern types - Poison ignore Armor, Fire applies a dot that does damage over time based on health (i think), Lightning are glass cannons and ice are pretty much useless in PVP and don't really do anything for PVE

Wyverns are fast and can fly for a decent amount of time making them reliable flyers to navigate the map with a meh carry weight

Cons

Landing and taking off can be extremely Glitchy/buggy sometimes which can be quite frustrating

All Wyverns deal friendly fire and can harm allies and ally dinosaurs

Wyverns can not have saddles which makes the fairly vulnerable to damage and can be easily killed which a decent sniper or dino

Breath attacks can be quite unpredictable as they sometimes can be odd such as having a weird hit box and the breathe will sometimes start in a weird spot or can sometimes stray off

You can't start a Wyvern breeding line so Wyverns will forever be as they are having no way to mutate and make them better im still not sure why or how this works do the wyverns just not know how to stick it in?

Getting a Wyvern egg can be challenging if you don't have a decent flyer or a way to deal with the wild Wyverns


So meh in my opinion Wyverns are alright i guess i don't use any Wyvern besides poison since they can one hit any player no matter how much health they have but the lightning Wyvern is fun for killing pve and taming but that's about it
