"Fortitude is a measure of your resistance to the Weather, Torpidity, and Disease. A higher Fortitude increases your natural Hypothermic and Hyperthermic insulation, reduces rate of defecating near Tyrannosaurus roar, and lessens the effects that you receive from Hypothermia and Hyperthermia. It also gives you resistance to Torpidity-increasing effects such as consumption of Narcotic, hits from Tranquilizer Arrow or Slingshot, Scorpion stings and other Torpidity-inducing attacks from creatures."
TL;DR: No
Landing an arrow during their initial jump attack prevents stunning.
As soon as you're stunned, spam 5 to 10 healing potions, and you'll survive. Tested with flak armor.
If you blocked the surprise attack with a shield you can remain your shield active while you are stunned to block incoming damage."
Also I hear wolves can sniff purlovia out, though I dont use wolves so I cant confirm how practical it is to use this. If your on foot and you see a purlovia 'rock' you can chuck grenades at it to force the little bastards out of hiding.
But I spaced the parasaur's talent so appreciate that advice. Also want to test wolves' sniff someday that is on the to-do list now so thx.
Ghillie armor is to fragile to risk at this stage. It is better saved for hunting. I'm solo no tribe. I have no points in health and potions are not avail to me atm, but I appreciate the reminder one can make them and it's closest answer to my problem so far. I like the idea you can drink potions when stunned hoping it's for real.
Thyla's don't bother me on foot. Just run from them like you would a saber.
I get that you do not want advice about cheats or mods, not sure why you do not want advice about having a tame with you ?
Should always have at least 1 tame set to attack your target when roaming in the redwoods (assuming that is where you are since that is where most Purlovia's congregate). I mean if you refuse to do the basics in the game what is it you really expect from us for advice ?
Only thing i can think of that might fall into your very narrow request for advice is to equip a shield and hold it up at all times when in Purlovia territory (ie redwoods)
