and I can't find any fish? it's like the spino at them all. wtf do i feed him if there aren't any fish to harvest?

dang....
He must have gotten hung up on the trap somewhere where I couldn't get close enough to access his inventory. Went back a second time and no problems.

Sounds about right.

Also if youre taming you really should be going fully prepared with all the narc and food you'll need. Exception of course being if you are trying to tame using prime which means youre harvesting as you go.

But don't rely on there being available resources immediately where the dino falls. Have a mount or something to travel and get what you need.

Yeah, this can happen quite frequently, the hitbox on the dino can be between the outside and inside of the trap wall ...and finding a spot to access the inventory can be problematic. ... normally flying/running out of render range and back again will sort this out. Otherwise, you have to play "find the correct pixel-perfect place" to access the inventory ... you do get used to it and soon it becomes second nature.

Oh although it will it fish .... Prime meat is far better, see this link for further information on what it can eat. http://www.survive-ark.com/taming-calculator/

Thanks for the walk away and refresh idea. I was actually fairly worried about dying, so didn't pack too heavy on my first big tame and my first time using a raft trap. Only way to tame a spino is with prime fish though. WOW! It's fast if that's all it eats. I was also just down the coast from m base, so I brought both of them the ten seconds by water back near by base so I could just walk in for whatever I needed.
Thanks guys! Now the proud owner of my first two spinos. Do I need to worry about cramming them in my pen or can I just leave them at my base on the attack on me command?
