Why people dont play primitive plus?

Hello, an average Ark player here, not gonna even pretend I'm a pro or anything so let's just get that out of the way for starters. Like many others, I too have a hate/love relationship with this game. I hate it because it is so brutal. I love it because it is so brutal. I never really got into the whole tek tier, I now know broadly how it works but I just don't like it or care about it and most of all I don't have the time for it. Also someone popping up in tek gear to murder everything you have (before you're even close to getting it yourself) just gets kind of lame after a while. I can never stand up to those people, like I said I don't have the time and I don't even want to. So everything became pointless for a while... then I found out about Primitive+. It is awesome. It's like somebody made the version of the game I wanted in my dreams. Yes it has problems but it is still totally playable and thank the lord it has no tek bull****.

So why no one (or not many anyway) seems to play? I've read so many people's complaining writings and I think Primitive+ is the answer for at least some of them - it was for me. Now my biggest problem is boredom due to no other players... not as much as there are in the Survival Evolved anyway. Is there a reason for this?

Prim+ doesnt work for alot of people. Ive tried every fix I can think of and I cant get Prim to work, it crashes every time I try to load it. I used to play Prim about a year ago, but it just doesn't work for me anymore. Ive spent hours trying to fix it.

A quick brosw of the forums shows I'm not alone.

Oh no... so there was a reason. Well thank you for answering. I really wish they would fix that such a silly reason not to play.

on which map did u try to play it? i can play it no probs at island, center and raganrok

I cant play it on any map. I tried reinstalling, file verify, diff launch options, drivers, some ini stuff and file mojo. Nothing worked(s)

Are you trying to run it with mods? From what I've gathered due to how it works as a conversion Primitive Plus doesn't play well with mods, even just subbing to/imstalling them breaks it for some reason. Not sure if it works, but it might be worth a shot.

It just straight up goes into an infinite load loop for me, gets 2/3 done and restarts. Really disappointing, I was planning on running it with Saddle Emporium and immersive taming, had to find another primitive mod, which wasn't easy. There's a few others which are nice, but most disable bigger tames, or mess with learnable engrams too much trying to be "realistic".

Primitive Plus always had a bug that would cause slow loading also. People didn't want to sit at a menu for 15+ minutes waiting for it to load.

Now imagine you crash while taming something or your out in a bad spot leaving your dino undefended till you can return or ORP kicks in. Its too bad really prim+ brings a lot of neat stuff to the table.

Never worked for me. Gave up on it. There's enough of the vanilla game don't need it.

The extra loading time never bothered me much, it didn't crash any more than Arc did normally and I did try it out. The only reason I didn't end up sticking with it is because I still had no idea how to play Ark yet and so it didn't make sense to learn a whole new system without even knowing the first. So theoretically one day I may very well play it and probably will prefer it. But considering that I am halfway finished with the first map of 5 Maps I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Simple, Its because its BROKEN and has long since been Abandoned by the dev's.

It should actually be removed from the games listing since its been discarded.

And frankly it's a pretty big exaggeration to say that I'm even halfway done with the first map. My argentavis farm barely produces enough kibble to outfit me with proper a argentavis flock let alone all the other dinos in that tier that are critical.
