Basicaly... are you losing foundation support or are you losing snap point.
When I did it recently they would only snap one direction. Either left or right depending on what snap point Ark decided to choose first. Watch for the snap points that do stick!
It will cost a massive amount of materials to do it now but it still looks great.
I have done other builds using the new S+ variants and it is easier.
Instead I've used triangles to great effect
Sometimes you just need to vary it a little and it will stick.
Notice how there is a massive waste of materials in the video too.
Patience makes good builds with Ark unless you use Mods.
But this comes also with a question.
When you say "now", it means, there whas a patch they have changed something right?
ok, ich play on a offi-ark-server, so no mods :-/
Do i have to put all that "support-celling" like on the posted video?
Can you explane me how to build it?
This gives you the "foundation support" then once you place the slope ceiling or ramp (whichever will hold) you must make sure that it snaps properly.
You will see it bounce around and try to snap in very strange places but it must snap where you want it.. You cannot just put it in position as when you remove the temp structure it will fall as it is snapped to temp not the main.
This is very hard to explain in text and there are a lot of very good builder vids that will show this a lot slower than the one you have.
Check out Aaron Longstaff youtube he has some great builds and does a lot of training builds
Edit: The change seems to be the homestead update when a lot of S+ things were put into Ark It messed with a lot of build items and the way we were doing things.
even i try to build like on the same order like on the video, means: under, then outside then inside put a cailing, then the ramp, and then remove in the stuff... comes with the same output... ramp puff :(
i also noticed that... sometimes i got mor than 1 snap point. (sometimes very close sometimes exactly the same (when I press Q, it doesn't change position))
