No taming bar while taming Mosasaurus

Heyhey, so I've been trying to tame this Mosa for a while now but when I got it knocked out the taming bar won't show up...I've given it food but it wouldn't eat. I restarted the game but it still didn't show up so I tried waiting for it to wake up and knock it out again but still no taming bar. I tried taming something else to see if it happend to all dino's but it worked like it has to with other dino's so it's only not working with the Mosa. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Is it clipped into a structure or terrain?

is it a higher level than usual mosa from inside an underwater artifact cave?

It might be, I found it while doing this underwater cave, there is still small bit of shore so I was taming it from that but it's possible that it's kinda stranded there. But does that make it so that the taming bar won't pop up tho?

Mosasaurs and most other beasties in caves are not tamable, as Zorthecruel stated.

It's level 80, I have my max level for wild dino's set at 300 so it isn't that high. It is in an underwater artifact cave tho
