Put gamma under hotkeys like all smart players. 2.25 for default 5.0 for night vision.

If you need torches or steaks, you are doing it wrong!!!!

Gamma changes can be disabled, Official allows gamma changes (PVE at least), therefor it is legit. Eat that steak like before and imagine the gamma change is the effect of the steak.

Using glowsticks, charge pets and torches is also legit. As pointed out above.

Its not realy a huge deal is it? You only have to use one of the other tools available to you.

no you get it right away in your inventory for buying the season pass, it goes into your shield slot and follows you.

HLN-A gives as good as no light ( ihave it), so definitely not a substitute for a chargepet or torch.

The whole reason the Steak option was so good was because you didn't have to use a torch or weapon with a Flashlight attachment. Light pets die very easily and have to be replaced and the miners helmet is next to useless and has an attached repair cost. In comparison the Steak was easy to cook in bulk and have at hand and provided light without using you hands, so you were free to use weapons. I just wondered what the reason they took it away was?? To overpowered in PVP perhaps??

Sadly this is pretty true. She provides about 20% as much light as a torch, if that.

It's actually kinda strange they decided to make her project light down instead of straight out from her "eye" like a flashlight. It would be much more effective that way, even with less light than a torch, since she mostly looks where you look.
