Whistle Attack
Is there a way to make your dinos attack when you whistle at something? I keep trying and I never have any luck. I tried putting it on Aggressive, but it killed every dino in sight without a whistle. And now, I have it on neutral and I hit something and my dino attacks it, but I want to whistle attack so I don't have to get close to attack

There are 2. Attack THIS target and attack MY target

i remapped "Q" to attack this target, its a bit fiddly though, harder to target smaller creatures, and certain dinos do not respond to it, vultures for instance.

Baryonyx is an odd nut with this to, i think it has to do with it being amphibious but if you use "attack this target" on land they will most of the times ignore it, or sometimes its majorly delayed, underwater they do great with it (don't ask me how we whistle underwater).

Best of luck.

After the attack whistle, whistle it to passiv or neutral again or it stays in the attack my target thingy.
You can set groups to whistle to, if your out with more than one.
I remapped my attack "R" but that has nothing to do with OP's initial question.

Open up your inventory. At the very top you will see a pawprint that says, "Tamed Groups." Under "Tame Ordering Groups; Active Group" pick a number and click the check mark icon. That is your active group that you can now whistle. An asterisk should appear next to you currently active group. Make sure your pet is added to that group with the asterisk.

If you ever have trouble whistling a pet it means you do not have it's group selected in that panel.

Next, click on your pet and add to the Active Group you chose.

Now you can whistle attack. Note the hitbox on small animals might be hard to target. Do not attack pters as they will fly away fast and your tame will chase them to the end of the earth thus leaving you all alone eating crow.

Do not use "aggressive" or "passive flee" or "neutral" they are junk bad crap happens. You only need to use "attack my target" or "passive."

Passive flee is great for flyers loaded with valuables.

Neutral is perfect for PVE.

Aggressive is very problematic in all situations.

Aggreed, but aggressive does have uses with dinos in turret mode or as triggers for other dinos. You can also use it with dino leashes to establish a defended zone, like for Extinction drops or when you're out ground harvesting in a dangerous area.
