well if you freeze the griffin you can maybe bola the guy off with an owl. and the owl has a saddle so it wont get insta clapped by a mana. i have found pvping with snow owls a ptera is such an ez clap but i have never fought a griffin. im my opinion snow owls

Also with the owl, press C for infrared vision to see things in the vicinity/undercover/darkness much better. I dont PVP much but I think this would be quite useful flushing out hidden baddies.
