Bottleneck
Hey,

I own an RTX 2080, i7 7700 and 16RAM.

I wanted to know if my CPU could keep bottleneck my GPU? Playing on ultra 1080p

I get 80 fps but around demanding places I get 50-55. Possibly the game faults?

Would that CPU in general cab bottleneck that type of card.

Oh I see, I play on epic actually and reach that amount of frames, wasn't sure if my CPU is keepimg me from reaching higher frames. Or maintaining solid frames.

ARK is CPU throttled but an i7 won't hold a 2080 back much, only in the newer games but even then not much.

ARK is just old and poopy coding

55FPS is still very playable. If you want to piss money down the drain for an extra 1-2 FPS go for it. But i wouldnt bother.

much ? try atall , bottlenecks arise from upgrading one portion of your pc and not the other , ie his cpu is from t he last 4 years , its good , ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much , lol

Most monitors are 60 fps. If you are getting above 60 fps in this game, you won't see the difference on 60fps monitor. Typical Movie theater frame rates are 24fps (even most IMAX ones). I think wingman hit the nail on the head. Don't waste money or time trying to get perfection that doesn't affect game play.
