You need to have the required tribute items at either a supply drop or obelisk terminal.

Which dinos to take and how strong they need to be will depend on your game type and settings.

now keep in mind there are 3 difficulties: gamma= easy, beta= normal and then alpha= hard

depending on which difficulty u want to do will mean how much preparation will you'll have to do (i.e strong and durable armor, breeding for strong dinos, high armor saddles and the like)

do keep in mind that the max drag weight for boss arena's is 560 meaning any creature's who's drag weight is 560 or less can enter, so something like a rex or a spino can enter but anything like a giga or a bronto can't

Generally, you just have dinos near obelisk or pylons (I very very strongly recommend obelisk as you can easily lose everything in pylons). Up to 20 dinos will be taken to arena as soon as you start the arena fight.

Do keep in mind that flyers, climbers, and anything bigger than a rex are banned from arena (Manticore allows flyer and Rockwell allows climbers though).

20?! Holy cow. I was just concerned with 1. I have a lot of prep to do!

The most efficient strategy is 19 well bred rexes and 1 Yuty for the buffs. Does the trick very well on Broodmother and Mega-ape. Dragon is harder and requires proper coordination...but still the best team option.
