What margalus said. That little mouse icon to the right of your name on your posts indicates you have the game (of the forum you are posting in). As far as I know, unless there is some magic with the Windows 10 version of Steam (I am still on 7), the MS version of Ark should not automatically appear in Steam. You could manually add a shortcut to it if you wanted, but nothing automatic.
Are you sure you had the MS version installed to begin with?
No, there is no magic. There is no way that purchasing the Microsoft version caused it to show up in Steam. The one and only way to get the Steam version is to purchase it on Steam. It is a completely separate version of the game. Steam and Microsoft version are not compatible and they are not recognized by each other.
No, you purchased the Steam version and forgot, that is 100% fact as Steam is showing that you purchased it. Go to your purchase history and you will see that you purchased it long ago and forgot about it.
Mods can only be used on the Steam version.
