what are some of the best ways to get obsidion and cementing paste

i need polymer so how do i get tones of cementing paste and obsedion

Achidna (the snails) are both great as they automatically produce cementing paste and I think organic poly. Requires vegetable cake for taming AND keeping them alive which is a resource heavy recipy so if you tamed one, be sure to level their food stat. For obsidian you will have to go to caves or climb high mountains and mine it.

raid beaver dams for paste. or tame a high level frog, kill something near dragonflies and they swarm the body - then eat the dragonflies.

obsidian is a mined resource it looks like a shiny black turd

Organic polymer is usually the best way to go depending on the map and your Base location.
Beaver dams for paste, Quetzal and anky on mountains for obsidian usually.

easy way.
step 1. make a grinder
step 2. hit all the big item givers that are super easy to do.
-on island
1.easy water cave -3 drop- get a frog+scuba tank and you can ignore everything takes about 4minutes to get in and out
2.carno cave 1 drop, frog or thyla - learn jumps, move quick..in and out in 2 minutes.
-On ragnarock
1.deep sea drops on desert- get something that flys fast, wyvern etc. 5-8+mins for 4+ drops
2.Ice cave +ice cave boss.this is like a 10minute run with some heal pots, decent armor and a good shotgun.

you hit all those spots and grind everything you get, you will get more organic polymer,cementing paste,hide and metal etc that you know what to do with.

in a server with teleporters this all turns into super fast farming.I have fridges full of organic polymer.I dont' ever harvest, i look for upgrade and end up with a crap lot of everything on grinder.


if you insist on doing in manually. I would go to desert of rag kill the mantis and end up with a ton of organic polymer. then take a very strong bred frog with the best armor saddle you can get. put in 8k health and rest into melee. a few gas masks a few heal potions and smash the swamp cave on the island using the swipe attack. 1 run is easily 3-5k cementing paste.

sure you can hit up dams, but thats time consuming and requires luck. The swamp cave is guaranteed to get thousands of cementing paste.

Oh yeah if you have access to scorched earth go around around the desert with a megatherium killing mantis. You'll have to dump chitin to stay below the 300 slot cap but you will fill up on organic poly, and chitin -> makes cementing paste with stone.

If you're on Valguero harvest the beached dolphins.

You could always tame a moschops and use the C attack to kill penguins and ducks if you're stuck on the Island.

Yeah. But only work if your gachas are rendered.

Unless your Servers run StasisKeepsControllers. All my farms run when no one is on ;) Just need to know how to setup Server Stasis! But it's a high cost in Ram.

Use this -PreventHibernation -StasisKeepControllers

Organic poly plants on Aberration, harvesting with a bear and transmitting out, easy slot cap.

As for frozen breeders when offline, instead of enable mating, try enable wandering. Fixed it for me with S+ hatchery and hitching posts.

From what I can tell yes. No one was on one of my servers and eggs were hatching like crazy.

For obsidian, on the Island the easiest method is (if you can ofc) to wall off top plateau of Far Peak with behemoth stone gates. Does not block metal spawns, might block some creature spawns. It will gave you a lot of obsidian. Another way, same quantity but may be a bit further, is to go to volcano. Alternatively just hit your local cave, clear it and mine some obsidian there.

If you do not want hard poly specifically, then get yourself a pelagornis. Breed for weight, stam and damage. Level all points in damage - then fly to north icebergs and kill some kairuku babies. Slotcap yourself in poly and fly back. Will need either otter or good fur if at night (I do in guillie but my otter is quite good and guillie is ascendant, no fur means more weight).

Apparently, you can also do moschops with kairuku farm, or even have a hesperornis farm - but I have not tried those methods so can not tell. Have not tried mostly because I am swimming in hard poly due to achatina farm + Far Peak/volcano obsidian.
