And utterly terrible on lesser kibble.
ah, so it has superior listed as preferred along with the specific type one (raptor) for mammoth. So I guess they have equal taming effectiveness.

Expand 'Creatures'
Each egg type in each tier will make that kibble type.... and tame each other creature in that tier and ALL creatures in lower tiers.
The specific egg recipes no longer apply, only the 6 new kibble types.
For example, previously the Raptor egg was used for Mammoths, now Raptor eggs make simple kibble.
Mammoths now use Superior kibble to tame.
still i prefer this system as it makes something like a Yuty MUCH easier to kibble tame and also allow's some creature's that couldn't have been perfect tamed before on certain map's to now be kibble tamed
Specific egg Kibble is listed only for Mobile/Switch players, all other platforms use the new Kibble types: https://www.dododex.com/kibble
The Dire Wolf on ark favours the superior kibble.
if you give the Wolf anything less than superior then you will lose a lot of effectiveness, However if you give a wolf any kibble that's better than superior for example exceptional kibble then it will be treated as the favoured kibble but only if its ''ranked'' higher then the others
But yeah if making superior kibble in mass works for you then you can easily use it to tame everything that loves superior and below
from my testing on that matter I found it's really not worth feeding them kibble higher then their preferred tiered, as it doesn't significantly reduce tame time/kibble consumption,
for example, lets say for poops and giggles I knock out a 150 spino who takes about [not accounting server settings here] 10 exceptional kibble to tame,
if i were to sub that 10 exceptional kibble with 10 extradinary kibble, the spino would only eat about 9 or 8 if that, I could be wrong or hell might have even done something wrong, but My point is,
the advantages to using higher tier kibble on a dino that doesn't require it is not significant, however for dinos that require basic/simple and regular kibbles, I have reason to suspect exceptional/extradinary kibble usage on those tames would be decently significant, but I've yet to test on those.
ah damn, I had so much made from back in the day.
Thats why in my post i used the word "Previously".
Your existing kibble will be converted to the new kibble.
It is still 100% as effective as the kibble type it has been converted to.
You can tell this by the colour coded aura around it.
