Ark server manager (ASM) Valguero Help
Here's the short of it all.

I have ASM running on a computer with several other server managers. There are no games installed on that computer, only servers.

I have looked through lots of forums based on ASM and how to get Valguero working but as far as I can tell... It's not downloading the new map.

People say just type in Valguero_P or type the location of the map BUT this doesn't work when I don't actually have ARK on that computer. Only the ASM and SteamCMD. I tried putting in the commands into SteamCMD directly and it doesn't seem to work either.

I haven't played ARK since Extinction came out, maybe I am just doing something wrong or maybe I need to just wait for ASM to update and add the Map to it's list.

The server does pop up in-game saying Valguero_P but no one can connect to it. I can't even connect to it via Lan. It just times out.

Can anyone give me feedback / information on how to get this private server up and running?

It says on my client that the DLC is installed. Has a little check mark. I am going to ask everyone who is going to use the server to make sure theirs is also installed correctly and I will attempt to start the server again.

Do one of two things.

Verify the game in Steam. Right click on your game and select "Properties>Local Files>Verigy Integrity of Game Files.

or:

Uncheck the dlc and then close out Steam properly by clicking Steam and then Exit. Then start Steam up again and put the check back in the dlc.

You need to update the server. It doesn't show as needing an update but it will still download it. After that it should work fine

I updated ASM and I updated/verified the server files. It's still not downloading the map.

What do you mean they broke something? Does the map Valguero simply not work?

There was an update button showing for me, but that is because I haven't played this game since Extinction came out.

ok, thanks. That is the version I am on now from Nov 30,2018 for Extinction.

I hope they update it soon so it's easy again... lol

It works fine, I didn't need an ASM update, just deleted all trace of the Valguero mod I had in my cluster and downloaded the dlc version. Started up the server again and it worked like a charm. you guys are doing something wrong.

I just hope they update it soon so it works again. My friends are waiting for the private server and I'm having to tell them I simply can not get it to start due to issues with ASM. I wish someone in the thread could give an answer to help out.

I haven't done anything wrong because I haven't tried anything yet. Except to look for it in the map dropdown menu where it doesn't appear. I haven't googled anything yet to see how to get the map to work without that feature.

Do you have ARK installed on your computer? Because a lot of people with this exact reply have ARK installed, but I do not have ARK installed on my server computer. Only thing on there is my server managers. I've also never downloaded the Valguero mod, so I would not have any trace of that in my mods. I only have a few Eco's decor mods.
