Fps with Rtx 2070 not good?
My 2070 is getting an average of 30 fps, when my old 1060 got an average of 50-60fps, I have found many stress tests and videos showing the fps and graphics settings, I am no where near where I should be, anyone have any idea's as to why?

Rtx 2070
Intel Core i5-6600K
16gb

I played this game with a Gtx 970 max settings with no problems and Now I'm using a 1070 at max settings - Still No problems - Love it.

You Need to Check Your System.
This doesnt realy say anything besides you are not having any issues.....

There has been a spate of performance threads regarding RTX cards.... so it could still even driver related.

@OP what is your system doing usage wise when running Ark?

RAM/CPU/GPU temps/ %usage etc etc.

UR RIGHT!! It is only using 50% of my Gpu and 80 % of my cpu
However how do I fix this?

I wonder if the i5 6600k is too much of a bottleneck?

I mean.... thats a stretch.

I really do not want to have to buy a new motherboard and cpu, what if I where to buy a new monitor
a new monitor won't help.... the i5 is probably the issue here

I would explore more before thinking about upgrades.... your monitor wont be causing these issues @ or below 1080p.... unless its a total museum piece.

Good Idea
I had a quick look with Bottleneck Calculator and according to its result, the current CPU/GPU configuration creates a 51% bottleneck.

it states that your processor is too weak for the RTX 2070, however, This result is not universal and changes based on differences in hardware and software environments. Please do not use this calculator primary as decision maker than as helping tool to understand performance correlations between different components.

His sys info says i5-6500, not 6600K, but still...

Not that big of a stretch at all: https://pc-builds.com/calculator/Core_i5-6500/GeForce_RTX_2070/0FV12xlu/16/

Good catch Ancient, I did not noticed.
That brings his bottleneck up by another 10%, that is quite a bit.

We can forget bottleneck for this issue. If the old 1060 got more fps than rtx 2070 now, there is definetily not bottleneck causing that.

I would start checking whats the power saving settings at first and like said before. If its actually using integrated gpu and not 2070.
Yeah, must be your system or something... playing it with a 1660 ti and don't have much problems... Only problem is I just have a 2 core Processor :D
