Update this.
Primary VRAM: 1024 MB
You might want to make sure the dedicated graphics card is working properly.
For Ark this is low graphics with launch parameters.
Don't know how to do either of those things. I'll try to figure it out I guess.
Your laptop's onboard graphics are being detected to use instead of your 1050ti card(which really being a laptop version is of a lower quality version of the same proper card really btw).
You need to resolve that and should google that issue if you wish to learn how to adjust settings for such.
2. Driver Date: 12 10 2018
The driver date reflected is for hte 630's graphics. If you want to also double check whether your 1050ti's graphic card driver is up to date, the best way is for you to go to nvidia's website, grab the geforce experience program and it then auto updates as needed. it also assists in telling you and setting for you the graphic settings for games such as ark.
With all that said, can you run the game with the 1050ti? Sure.
Can you run it with the best looking graphics? Not unless you wish to sacrifice the performance of the game while you play in regards to fps and more.
Ark is one of the more demanding games out still on the market in terms of hardware and articles have been written about it. Keep this in mind and make sure your wants in game play match the reality of your rig limitations.
But i can tell you for 100% sure it is not using the correct GPU
Hmm, that's odd that it's using a laptop 1050ti card. This is a desktop, not a laptop. Maybe I should look into updating the graphics card and RAM cards tbh. I'm not buying a whole new PC. And I don't think it's using the Intel card. With the game up it says the Intel graphics is at 0% use, and the NVIDIA is being used.
This is the steam system information.
but basically, Steam is not detecting yout 1050. you need to fix that.
Steam doesn't seem to be picking up the video card properly, it's not listed under video card.
Looks like you have a GTX 1050Ti but primary driver you're using is Intel UHD? Go download GeForce Experience and get a proper driver.
Why is it installed in a PCI express 8x? surely that should be in a 16x slot. Does your motherboard have one? This could be why Steam isn't detecting the card properly.
8Gb of RAM is minumum, it's much nicer to play with at least 16Gb
And yes an SSD is nicer too.
Alright so it seems what you all are saying is that it's not detecting the NVIDIA card. I went ahead and checked my NVDIA settings and ARK was not listed in the apps used. I'm gonna go ahead and try to get that sorted, thank you all for the advice.
And yes, I agree that I should have more RAM. I'm looking into adding 8GB more on soon.
