That must be new. I used to clear a lot with a bronto.
Roll rat, if you have access to them. You didn't say if you want the wood or just want the trees gone. In the latter case, a roll rat rolling will just wipe the terrain clean fast. In the former, still as good at it as a castoroides.

why so complicated anything will do running with a large dino swinging with a bronto taking a fast attacker (like a spino) and destroying everything ect

To my knowledge, no unmoded dino can damage multiple trees, and it has been like that for a long time... bronto is the slowest to cut trees since he has one of the slowest attack and move speed.

talking of that the fastest attackers are pretty much the theriz, spino, anky (second), golem, raptor just so breakingzap knows

Also remember that the higher the damage the faster the tree goes. So either get a good metal hatchet and cut them yourself, or get the strongest dino. As mentioned by Nevaia, you can also add rex, allosaur and carnotaurus, pump all their points into damage.

But theri is the best investement since it harvests everything, minus rocks.

Yea it used to be possible but I think they removed it years ago because it caused too much lag when you swung the bronto's tail in a forest (back in 2015 official days one swing would stop the whole server for a good 5 seconds)

Yeah i remember how much Brontos were hated at that time. And they still are today because some people use them for berry harvesting and hit 100 plant nodes at the same time lagging everything.

Bronto will sweep-clear an area faster. mammoth will take longer, but yield tons of wood (always useful for charcoal)

wyvern

I didnt see whether the OP stated this clearing was due to:

1. Wanting simply to gather wood/thatch etc quickly in bulk.
2. Wishing to clear a swath of land for building on expeditiously.
3. 1+2 combined.

If a mamoth has extremely good speed and high inventory intake then its going to be the best option for point 3.

If just wanting point 2, then fast attack dinos that dont collect wood could be better or a speed bronto or crawling wyvern or similar that just simply walks over the terrain(thus not collecting just knocking em over.

If just wanting wood with point 1 only then it depends on the stats of a beaver, mamoth, roll rat, etc in melee damage to weight to harvest rates/health of trees in this case. Not enough information to account for all the variables in that regard.
