the map (just one will be fine, the one ending in .ark)
the players (one per player) all the files ending in .arkprofile
the tribes (one per tribe) all the files ending in .arktribe
You need to copy all thoses over
Where are these located? Someone looking in the server saves said it wasn't showing anything other than the server backups. We are moving the server from a company hosted server to a privately owned dedicated server, where do we find those saves from the company hosted files to import them?
I will foreward this topic over though to the server admin and see if they can't dig the files deepeer. Thank you for the response, greatly appreciated!
All of them should be in the same directory
You might want to copy the ServerPaintingsCache subdirectory too if players use custom paintings.
I'm using LinuxGSM and I'm moving the Map from Windows.
(I've renamed the SavedArks Folder to TheIsland, because that is the Save, the Server is loading)
You have to first, start the new machine/hosts server out with the Mods you run, because if you plug in your old save data, and start the world without the mods installed, you can find items missing.
Next you should copy over your game.ini and gamusersettings.ini
Then you have to backup all the .arkprofile ( i suggest the profilebak as well) , .arktribe(the backup as well), .arktributetribe, and the MOST RECENT .ark file (thats the actual world data)
Once you have all those backed up, move them to the new host. THEN start the server.
I hope this helps, these are the steps I took, and my Cluster migration worked perfectly. No data loss at all.
