I know. I use admin commands all the time but it would be nice to keep natural colors for breeding as well and just dress them in paint from time to time.

The admin color change is permanent and breedable (I think)

Yeah man, check out those websites, they provide tutorials on how to use including which folder you need to be saving your templates into etc
Something to keep in mind is that their natural color (or cheat'd color with settargetdinocolor) will affect how warpaints look. The darker their natural coloring, the better warpaints will look on them. Pale coloration will make warpaints look really faded. I absolutely love warpainting my dinos so when breeding my dinos I always try to get black for all of their color zones. If you don't mind using cheats, use settargetdinocolor to set all zones to 14 (aka true black) for the best looking warpaints.
