Mods for painting dinos?
Just curious if there is a good mod for painting dinos. I see slipg8r's videos andt he dinos are always very well painted as if their color regions have manually been changed. Whenever I take a paintbrush to my dinos it's very pixally and blotchy.

I know. I use admin commands all the time but it would be nice to keep natural colors for breeding as well and just dress them in paint from time to time.

There are templates you can get online and you save them to your local drive and they will be available to you in game.

Here are the top 2 results from a google search and I'm sure there are more.

http://arktemplates.com/
http://arkpaint.com/

There is also a discord channel that was advertised on these forums some time ago. Will probably come up in a search.

The "paint" only renders when close to dinos.
The admin color change is permanent and breedable (I think)

Never tried this mod but this might do what you want

Shweeeet! Thanks dudes. I'll check into these. Now when I save color templates where exactly do I install them? I assume there is a pain job saved file in my Ark folders? I'll go check around for it.

Something to keep in mind is that their natural color (or cheat'd color with settargetdinocolor) will affect how warpaints look. The darker their natural coloring, the better warpaints will look on them. Pale coloration will make warpaints look really faded. I absolutely love warpainting my dinos so when breeding my dinos I always try to get black for all of their color zones. If you don't mind using cheats, use settargetdinocolor to set all zones to 14 (aka true black) for the best looking warpaints.

So that Dino Colorizor doesn't keep the color you add if you put your dino in cryo. Also the babies won't reflect the color of the parents either.

Freakin' necro.... It's better to complain a problem with a mod in the mod's workshop forum than to revive a year old thread.
