Is there any way to disable seaweed on singleplayer?
Is there any way to disable seaweed?

I know there was a way to disable seaweed/grass before, but have tried all graphics settings to no avail. Searched for mods but couldn't find any that does that. And of course don't want to modify files as I don't want to have issues with VAC.

I always play on single player or hosting my own no-dedicated game, so there's no problem with it revealing other players or whatever.

Thing is that it's impossible to snap underwater fence foundations due to them being completely hidden by seaweed when I'm trying to place them.

Also, are the developers ever going to rework structures or make Structures+ (or any alike mod) official to finally be able to build even structures when the terrain is uneven?

no. S+ will be integrated, but very limiting.

Awhile back there was a tutorial that taught you how to disable/delete the grass files. I don't know if its still available. Heard it gave huge fps improvements.

Yeah, found that one on the forums, but apparently doesn't work anymore, also, renames files which I think can bring trouble with VAC.

might try using regular foundations instead of fence foundations as a workaround. Might be easier to see the bigger foundations.

Not sure it will allow me to place them, since it's a very steep underwater zone, but could give it a try.

Can you try using pilars for the steep inciines ... I've used those to go over very steep cliffs with walls and ceilings . To take up gaps I 've turned off collision to make it look solid.

Maybe I should have explained better, pillars are not an option for this building as it's basically a wall to limit a zone meant as a pen for aquatic animals, so nothing enters and nothing gets out.

Only issue is visibility when placing elements due to the abundant seaweed on the bottom of the sea.

Thanks anyways.
