Aberration: Locations for Flyers?

Heya Folks. I've been wandering around in the New Map and see that it goes verry Deep. But I also see the Sun shining through the canopy. I don't want to get too far down and learn that Flyers are near the surface. Do any of you have suggestions on where I can find one to make getting around easier?

Ziplines aren't all they're cracked up to be. You'll want a rock drake, but to get one of those, you'll have to brave the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hellpit where the eggs spawn. I don't joke when I say hellpit, radiation, purple-ass lava, super difficult terrain, the works, and when you pick up an Egg, god help you because nothing else will. I honest to God recommend you get a Reaper before you try for a Drake.

Megalosaurus handled the Rock Drakes just fine. Take one or more down there with you to eat them when they come after you.

At this point I'm starting to question if I have some mods running that turn the drake spawns into overdrive, because when I go down there, literally, with no exaggeration, the entire ground is made entirely out of drakes. I ♥♥♥♥ you not, if you go into the egg crevice, you're always going to be in aggro range of some sod.

No mod should be affecting anything directly Aberration related. Mods can't touch Aberration.
If you're experiencing overspawning, I'd check your spawn settings for the game-session (not a mod) for a culprit cause there?

I didn't go into the deep part of the pit, there are nests above it that we went to instead.

You mean the eggs spawn in more than one place?

There's a ramp down into the Drake Lair, at the bottom of that ramp there are like 2-4 egg locations right above your head. Only climbing/gliding needed is to get up to them and back down again. Walk your Spino/Mega/whatever right up to below them.

well flying kinda got stupid kinda fast when you had a 2k movespeed ptera going around
