I still recommend mixing in some turrets tho.
I had my first -terrifying- encounter with these on a bad body recover.
As someone itching and terrified to explore these blue areas, any reasonable suggestions for a solo player on going in? So far I'm planning to take a meaty HP ride in with an escort of probably 20 raptors/ravagers as well as a prefab base for swift deployment. I'm also floating the idea of a rock ledge platform. As well as flares/glowsticks and a few guns with enough bullets to bleed out godzilla..
It only matters if players have the charged buff or not.
Putting some plant z outside your base are not needed. Just put a few inside down the center of each floor or something like that to provide yourself we with the buff at all times you're inside. If you go out, take a light pet.
3 high level Spinos are well enough, if you don't want to have to manage and order around 20 dinos ... My Spinos wreck Nameless without debuffing them with light.
Also, since Spinos have aoe on their bites, they can also hit Nameless while they are burrowed, and deal full damage to them regardless of charge light presence.

Skip to about 4:55 to see it.
On that, I just got a blueprint for those, can they be built fairly close to eachother? I may try a few in a row for farming sake of the blue zones. Still dunno where to find red crystals, though I did learn in a rather harsh way that the surface has strict access (No picking ones way to the surface)
Once you have your first 20 you can make a gas collector. Then you can use the gas to make a hazard suite. And use the hazard suite to go to the pink/red areas where these gems spawn in large quantities.
