Falling through the map

I've woken up 4 times under the map drowning and can't do anything about it, anyone else having this issue?

i think it happens when you log out above a mapobject. if the mapobject hasnt got any ground below it you are likely to fall through that object because of the way ark renders the world while logging in
basically log off on normal ground...
(based on my experience while playing abberation)

On topic with OP; yes, i have woken up drowned after logging off on solid ground several times - especially on one particular modded map. No idea why...

because of how the game is set up. it has to "render" everything when someone goes to your base
so even if you are offline, and someone flies over your base, he HAS to render your base (very slowly)

characters render first, then dinos, then structures

what happens is: the "server" renders your character, it recongizes no strcuture (as they have yet to render) and you simply fall through everything because at that point there is no styrcuture rendered

so you fall, if you are trully unlucky you even fall through the map
and we know the outcome, you log in dead and lose your stuff

one of the many errors in ark, if they would load styructures first then all those issues and dinos walking through walls/escaping pens would be solved

as admin this will happen to me 100% of the time after a server update, i have tryed many of the things mentioned here, lay on a bed be over the ground so on ...
my best solution is to simply stash your gear befor you log off and enjoy the underworld view when you log back in ..
