Holiday event on singleplayer?

Does the event work for singleplayer games too (providing you have an internet connection)? Anyway to join in the festivities?

Still trying to work that out, maybe add -holidayevent or -beta holidayevent to your ark launch settings, just what I've heard but spend some time, give it a try and spread the word. If it works.

Man that sucks. There are christmas mods like Randi's Christmas Mod and one that spawns raptor claws but the former mods dinos I don't think stick around after you take it out of your mod list.

At the very least they could have provided us with spawn codes so the people on SP could spawn a couple of the event dinos in.

Time to leave them a negative review as their Christmas present if SP is no longer considered a valid game mode. We used to get SP events, there's no good reason we shouldn't, and I'm super unimpressed at being left out.

Give everyone an event (SP and consoles) or don't bother with with an event in the first place IMO.

I wholeheartedly agree that being left out of this on SP is lame and shows a lack of caring on the devs part... not that I'm surprised.

However, I don't think there would be spawn codes for the critters involved. It's likely just something that on some super low % occurrence, overrides the color on spawn and on other critters capable of wearing hats, equips a santa hat on spawn.

So, yeah, Ideally this would be available to SP and it would occur naturally, on it's own, along with the other event things, like Xmas music and modified drops. But as far as the critters, in SP we can easily create these critters all on our own with console commands. We can't get santa hats on any of the wild critters, granted, but we could wander about changing colors on various wild critters if we wanted. And, of course, we can do whatever our heart desires with our own tames.

Not an excuse for WC screwing over SP... but I suspect that will be an ongoing thing for events and we'll just have to use mods or console command up what we want.
