Dedicated Server Issue

I'm having trouble making a dedicated server run from my computer. I've watched video's, I've gone through the wiki repeatedly and I've done everything they recommanded, even downloaded the server files from steam and all that. I can get it to start and everything. Issue is that I don't know if it's dedicated or not dedicated. I though dedicated don't have a tether range, mine does. Any advice?

All you need is a .bat file in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64

In that put-

start ShooterGameServer "Ragnarok?listen?QueryPort=27015?SessionName=!!!rAGNOROK?AltSaveDirectoryName=Ragnarok?ServerAdminPassword=xxxxx?ServerCrosshair=True?AllowThirdPersonPlayer=True?MapPlayerLocation=True" -NoBattlEye -nosteamclient

Just make sure its not named .bat.txt

If your computer does not show file extentions that is what it is named.

You can run it off the game you already have and it updates automatically, including mods.

You dont start ARK to run it you just doubleclick the .bat file and wait a bit. Then start ARK to join a local LAN server.

I have that, and when I double click the batfile it starts the game for me, but it loads me into my non-dedicated save (Trying to make that dedicated). I see video's with people having that black cmd screen with server stats pop up, I don't have that the game just launches and loads right into the server without the main menu but tether won't go away

Is what I have, should it be ShooterGameServer? Is that my issue?

Yes, and put the bat file in the Win64 folder, then create a shortcut to your desktop from there.

Typo here too \Win64/

If it is working correctly it wont load the game just the command prompt.

Ok, so I did that now whenever my girlfriend tries to join it says server not responding if I invite her. And it doesn't show up in the search either. I see it in LAN now however. I'm assuming it's a portforward issue, I get my internet from another router which gets it from another thing so I'll have to tackle that another day if it's that
