Just Purchased a Nitrado server and can't get in. (timed out)
Hi, Please could you help a 37yo nube out? Is it Nube or Noob? Anyways....

I just purchased use of a Nitrado server. I chose the London one as that's where I am. I've set it up and even managed to save it into my steam server tab. I had to change the last few digits of the ip to match the enquiery port (what ever that is???)

If I put in the server password nothing happens. If I put in the admin password it attempts to load but times out. I've not been in once.

Once you've finished facepalming any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you try restart the server?

After changing the settings to my liking that was the first thing I did.

check your server settings in the interface, can be you got a typo.
If it loads the first time in ( mods ?) it can take to much time so you get a time out just repeat the log in and see if it works ( try a 3rd time as well) You also can set the time out for idle, set it high to prevent time out while loading the map. Nitrado has a white list but I never got it to work for myself^^
The IP differs in the last number, guess it has to do with IP from game and IP from interface ( not sure about this.

A typo where? It wouldn't add to the steam server tab till I had all details correct. So I'm assuming no typo.

I've only just bought and set this up, not been in once, so certainly not using mods yet.

I've also tried many times to get in. I will try changing the time out option though. Thanks

Hmmm funny thing is... I just went back to try again and its gone from my favorites list under servers??

I was more coming from a password typo not IP related. Hope time out helps or you get it to work at all.
I recomend to learn a bit about the server things on the ark wiki as well as on the nitrado forum or FAQ, it'll benefit if you run into things like corrupted saves. No witchcraft at all, 'cos mostly even I get my server hickups sorted at one point

Thanks Every body. As Elder suggested it did sort itself out after a few hours.

careful with them. We lost our 1st server when they "updated"
1st it was all our toons were lost(back to level 1 new toons), but the tribe, buildings and dinos were still there. then when they tried to fix it everything got deleted and lost.

we moved to a Havok server that has better control

I keep hearing stuff like this, it's a little late now. I've started once on Xbox, once local on PC and now again on a Nitrado server. each time making it to roughly 75. I really don't want to start again, I hope it goes better for me.

To add to this thread I'll say it does log on better if after changing setting and restarting the server it's best to close steam and ark then start up ark and go in from the Nitrado page, which most of you probably already know.

Thanks again everyone.
