is it hacker infested?

so i want to get this game although i dont want hackers for obvious reasons and another 3 questions how often to servers reset? is it hard to run(as in computer specs)? and is there lots of hackers? or is it just a few hackers here and there

Not if you play unofficial. Even then, they have ways to counter hacking. As far as I know, official just has duping and DDOS attacks

Unofficials are protected by battleeye cheat detector or admins banning their asses, good luck on officials lol

Game runs fine on most systems now, not the most optimized game out there but it's not horrible. For the best experience I'd recommend at least a gtx 1060 with an i5 though.

Don't play official servers.

Get a good unofficial with good admins (or make one yourself) and then you have more control over the players and you (or an admin) can ban any cheaters.

Servers dont reset progress and for the most part its free from hackers.

Ive noticed a few aimbotters during mega tribe warfare and there have been quite a few unfair glitches which gave other people an advantage but on the new servers this hasnt been much of a problem.

got a nvidia geforce gt 640 u think that would be enough to run this game well?

Sorry man that card is so old you will be lucky to get 30fps on low settings. Seems like it's time to upgrade your computer instead of spending money on games. :)

i mean i can run gta 5 /watchdogs 2 pretty well on mid settings and arma 3 with roughly 80 fps on standard settings

Just because you can on those, doesn't mean you can for Ark.

At what resolution? If you're playing at 1920x1080 then you will struggle with ARK.

Not really. Ark is more graphically demanding than those games. Ark is unoptimized in certain aspects, but it has higher quality textures than those games
