Why do I see people complaining that reapers are weak?
1. Reapers start with 45000 hp, but then lose 38500 of that, leaving them with 6500. However, if you imprint, the imprint multiplies the hp and then subtracts, so this can be negated.
2. Their base damage is 140, and, unlike other creatures nerfed on tame, it’s damage actually goes up.
3. 90% damage resistance unless in charge.
4. A ranged attack that destroys armor.
5. A large jump.
6. Knockback attack for when in a pickle.
7. Ability to enter boss arenas.

So basically, anything without a method of producing charge is automatically losing a fight against it, this likely includes bosses on other maps. It can soak the turrets of any base that doesn’t have charge protection. Basically, if it’s transferred to another server you might as well be walking around with a tamed boss. Only downsides are difficulty getting it, max starting level of 76, and no saddle, which with that 90% damage reduction is barely necessary.

While admittedly it can’t travel around it’s own map the best, which limits it usability on Aberration, transferring it to any place else would automatically give you a massive advantage.

Unless I’m missing something huge, I don’t see how this thing can be seen as weak.

Huh I thought it lost the 90% damage resistance when you raise it?

it does, same like the rock elemental who also has 90% damage reduction
and when tamed alot less

After taming Rock Elemental you get 50% damage Reduction which isn't a lot less it's still big reduction, i would say :D

Rock elemental has 90% damage reduction even when tamed, but 50% damage to dinos, which it was nerfed to have, and no resistance to explosives.

The reaper king isn't weak per se but for being one of the hardest things to tame in the new expansion, it's really lackluster compared to other creatures. It doesnt have a saddle so no extra armor, is debuffed by shine so it deals less damage and takes more. Hell my RAVAGERS do more damage than this thing does. I personally think it could use a damage buff because right now it just sits in my base looking at a wall while I run around on my rock drake dealing three times the amount of damage, gliding and turning invisible. Reaper kings look cool as hell but theyre utterly useless right now.

Reaper is weak, and i will explain why
1) This thing takes forever to breed (12 hours with baby, then around another 6 days to raise, the first one it being a threat that can ♥♥♥♥ up your base if you get attacked and it gets out of your pen)
2) It has a large health pool yes, but has NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ARMOR whatsoever, and ive learned this over my time playing games, Health = Worthless without defense, as you will be eating a ♥♥♥♥ ton of damage from stuff (we're talking wild rex's/spinos hitting you for around 200+ damage, where as a tamed rex will be hit for around 100 because of the armor from the saddle, possibly less)
3) It has stamina issues, im not fully sure about this one yet, but ive noticed mine runs out of stamina way too fast
4) Its base damage is only around 75, not 140, (could be wrong, just based on the fact im doing less damage then my % with 100% imprint) plus you cannot continue to breed it to improve its stats
5) It can jump, but it is relatively slow and sluggish, maybe a bit faster then the giga
6) ITS A VERY LARGE TARGET
7) Its ranged attack has very low accuracy, plus, I'm pretty sure it doesn't ♥♥♥♥ up armor
8) Why use it in a boss arena? you have access to spinos which do more dps, can be bred up to do more damage, and have access to saddles for the armor

Now some potential fixes for the Reaper
1) Buff its damage - Make it so its base damage is on par with say a giga
2) Give it its damage reduction back? similar to wild Reapers (makes zero sense that its gone anyways) and make it function the same (this would cause backlash of the P2W whiners though)
3) Give it resistances similar to the rock elementals
4) Give it a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ saddle
5) Read number 4
6) Make the Reaper Queen a possible to acquire and allow it to boost the nearby Reaper kings with like 50% damage reduction plus 50% increased damage (Similar to what wild alphas do)

Well, if thats true, then it does seem weak. This seems like what I thought a reaper debuffed by charge would be like. If thats the case, you probably dont need charge to fight it, since the damage being significant and the damage resistance is the only reason to weaken it with charge. Unless you've been running around with a glowpet on, it makes it seem like they didn't want you to use it since literally everything else in Aberration has a massive use (glowpets provide charge and locate max level dinos, ravagers have a massive pack boost and can use ziplines, rock drakes can traverse the entire map easier than any other method, roll rats can gather wood and damage metal structures, basilisk does a lot of damage and can bury undergound for a surprise attack or to escape most damage, and karkinos can jump super high and carry things.)
The only good thing I see about the Reaper is the Dragon boss so far. It will keep the dragon boss grounded, I think. With it's spit.

Reapers negate almost 80%, i was fighting an alpha karkinos and when i had the bulbdog on it dealt 123 damage, when the bulb dog was off it was reduced to 25 so almost about 80% was negated in that time frame, as for the stamina, i always imprint my reapers so it def runs outta stam a lot slower than say a max imprinted rex

They are super good on pvp and pve
Super bonus if its outside abberation where light problems are pretty much gone.
It Has super high DMG taken reduction
Good DMG
Can jump so no getting stuck like a rex could , also better escapes.
Can pin down flyiers and slow down other dinos to a crawl
Has a knocback attack to knock pepole off cliffs.
Can be burried and used as a hidden storage.
Forces other pepole to carry light outside of abber to deal with them.
Their stamina is actually very good.
And they are pretty fast.
