Tame Ravager vs. wild Ravager...
Why don't tame Ravagers inflict the bleed-out effect? I just sicced my level 120 Ravager on a level 28 Ravager and the level 28 KILLED IT. Not terribly happy about that...

it doesnt depend on just the level you could have a lvl 50 wild ravager that had all its points put into melee and health and then tame a lvl 100 wild ravager that had all its points put into useless things like oxygen or food, hope that helps the level system

lvl is irrelevant when the bleed damage is % based, instead of a hard number like "50"

a lvl 5 ravager could beat the lvl 120, just by using the bleed damage

doesn't matter, the bleed damage is still % based
say the bleed damage does 10% damage

if you have a bad dino with base health 1000 then you lose 100 health per bleeding
say you now have a good dino with 3000 health, bleed will do 300 damage

see? the amount of "bleed" hits to kill you does not change

good/bad all the same, damage is % based

same with titanosaurus (the giant herbivores)

you need a really really good giganotosaurus to kill them (100% imprint with good saddle)

or

you need 2 allosaurus to kill them (bleed damage will do 11000!!!!! damage, per hit)

that's why % based attacks are crap in ark, this is not a mmorpg

Wild ravegers only do 5% of your total over a period of like 10 secs. If u get Melee up to around 400 and then pump as much health as possible ur ravager will be able to take on a whole pack. Make sure that u are riding it because tamed creatures do more dps with a rider. Of course even I you are not riding it u need a saddle because the armor it provides makes a big difference.

Regardless of stats (and of how difficult a map is supposed to be), a creature shouldn't be able to take out something of the same species 90 levels higher than it. Losing the bleed effect upon taming just seems an odd choice to me.

Honestly i fhave no f.clue how he managed to loose his L120 on a L28 Ravager, except he skilled everything but melee damage.

And besides riding it, bring a Pack with at least one of the opposite gender you're riding.
Pack of 4 + Mate Boost nearly triples your DMG output.

I tamed a lvl 15, now its lvl 62, my first tame, and i have killed a lvl 85. I even fight 4 off them that i did not sow in the bushes and i manage to kill 1 and add to run away. I escaped with 25 life, loool
I do not know how i loose it to a low lvl , unless there where more them 1 off them.

I do believe its stupid, idk if its a bug or if it was intended because they're strong tames without bleed, adding the bleed would make them kinda op.

But the fact that your tame died is weird.
Astasia Dec 20, 2017 @ 4:38pm
Their bleed sucks and does like no damage as mentioned before, it's more a snare. The OP lost that fight for other reasons.
DingDongDanger Dec 20, 2017 @ 4:45pm
Yea a level 48 destroyed my 104 who was health and melee pumped... hmmmmmmm. They should either keep the bleed or get rid of it altogether because if you get hit that's it, you aren't going anywhere because it's a slow. You just have to bite the bullet if you get caught.
Serangel Dec 20, 2017 @ 4:55pm
The bleed is there to make wild ones a threat, if they didnt have the bleed then it would be just another weak raptor. They had to remove it beucase it would make tamed ravagers stronger than what they already are.

They are not solo tames, you need atleast 5 of them for their full benifit of pack and mate bonuses and having a slowing bleed on top of their high jumping, fast and long lasting sprint, great weight capacity combined with halving the weight of alot of resources and decent health, decent damage while in a pack and mate boosted, would be way too strong.
Cobretti Dec 20, 2017 @ 5:01pm
I do lose a fair bit of hp when I fight a wild pack which often leads me to avoiding them but no way could a tamed 120 lose to a low level and I have useless ravagers with 40 points in food and 23 in hp

If not the bleed I would love the hamstring alone as they have a slow attack speed so would be handy not having to chase stuff around
