spend 2 hours taming ankylo

and then it dies **EDIT ** (ALMOST DIES) to an argentavis :( how am i supposed to farm metal with an ankylo if it just gets attackedd
am i supposed to bring a rifle and flak to protect myself

Ankylos will hit argents no problem. I kill them all the time while riding one. Their base damage is on par with a rex. Don't waste points on movement speed, you'd have to severely gimp your other stats to get enough speed to make a difference.

Ankylos get a weight reduction for raw metal ore so if it's a low lvl one then I would personally distribute the points between melee and weight. Once you can start farming with a quetz+anky then just go straight melee.

It's not that hard to find, but can be a bit of a pain to tame on a pvp server for sure.

use a taming boat , lure anky inside, then drive it when uncouncess into your base. easy tame while nothing can hit ur tame^^

yea but thats a really good idea for taming in general, i should've made my taming pit on a raft instead. it would mean i could sail it all the way out to sea and tame it, then bring it home.

1. Leeds become an issue at sea. They will destroy your raft.
2. Just make sure you move it BEFORE you knock it out. Otherwise it'll slide right off into the water and drown.
