Spiked walls + a gun is for sure needed if you're taming on foot.
Though bringing a gun is good either way.
Headshots work wonders on taking down argies.
Don't underestimate the damage an anky can do though, they actually hit pretty hard.
You should have been able to kill an argy with an ankylo easily. Either it was a poop tame, or you need practice fighting. Not trying to be mean, that's just how it is. You can kill a Rex or allo pack too with a decent wild tame.
yea it just cant hit argies :(
but the anky is a beast, 1.6k health on mine
But that was lvl 250+ ones with good saddles though, so wouldn't risk it if prim saddle on a lower level one.
"practice fighting"
this is a joke right?
there is zero skill involved in fighting wild dinos
dino a stands in front of dino b and both bite each other
untill:
1) one runs away because they are about to die
2) one dies, and the survivor finds a new target to die on
