Aberration & Breeding
Why are non of the New Aberration late game Combat Dinos Breedable.

The only ones that are breedable are Ravagers, Roll rats and the Charge pets.

To me this is really a bummer i like to breed to get mutations and min/max dinos it just something i find fun and cannot do with the only new creatures that matter in late game.

But I'm surprised in anyway that basilisk and rock drakes cant breed. No mythical creature in ark can. And they fall in that category.
Crabs can’t breed because Arthropods in general can’t breed. Hopefully they become breedable in the TLC pass, as this could greatly benefit both Karkinos and the mantis as well as other arthropods.

Its awesome idea that those creatures arent breedable. That way you cant make ultra uber pro dino with 60+ or 70+ dmg/hp stats. Another thing is that it opens area for trading.

Your comment makes it obvious to me that you have no idea how difficult it is to make a dino with 60+ points in anything. Yeah they exist and they have been bred by people that have put thousands of hours into breeding alone.

I would wager that most people that breed are not hardcore mutating nuts creating super dinos, they simply enjoy a wonderful part of the game and it's a shame if they cannot experience that in it's entirety in the new DLC.

The second they give a breedable Aberration mod I'm grabbing it. Giant snakes and crabs I was very disappointed in not being able to breed. Rock Drakes and Wyverns are basically the same so I get that they aren't breedable but dang I want babby giant crabs :(

Aberration doesn't have nearly as many new creatures as I had hoped it would. Would love more to be added. Sick of seeing Parasaurs and Paraceretherium.

When I breed I do it pretty much just to make max level tames once I've gotten 2 of them at male and female. After that I don't have to worry about finding more. I just keep the 2 I have and breed a couple generations out quickly (play with way fast breeding, I'm not waiting 2 weeks for a stupid quetz) and then I have plenty of good dino's, and i don't have to worry if they die.

Then I will surprise you. I know how difficult it is but keep in mind that its easier on servers with higher rates and mods. I managed to get a spino with 47 points in hp (all other stats around 20 or less) 2 days ago on aberration and I'm planning to get 60+ with mutations.

Yeah breeding is fun but I like a little challenge aswell. Its harder to get good griffin/wyvern/drake/karkinos/basilisk with good stats than good spino or rex thanks to breeding limits.

except unicorn is "mythical" and breedable

They arnt breedable because they are dlc creatures and making them breedable could give you a slight advantage over the island with its rexes, nothing from a dlc will (probably) ever be stronger then a rex (except for abb mega). Why rex must always be the strongest, i dont know, maybe the devs are JP/JW fans and think that the rex should be stronger then everything else (would explain why the spino is made so weak compared to the rex, jp/jw fans really hate spinos after jp3), maybe they believe that because the rex was the one of the strongest irl land creature ( for its time) that the devs think it should be stronger then anything else from anytime ( even if they are scifi mutated gene splice creatures like the reaper or basilisk), could be because they may feel like having things in a dlc be stronger then things from the main game would make it slightly pay to win, maybe they are waiting to see what the aberration meta is and might let them breed after they see the abb mega slaughtering everything, etc. There are many possible reasons, some more reasonable then others.

Just so you know you have a rare chance of getting a colour mutation when hatching a rock drake
