Radiation sound bug

Spawned in, took some radiation, left the area and its been 30 minutes away from radiation without poisoning and the sound won't go away. Tried respawning, tried restarting the game. Nothing works. Character is bugged I guess.

Same problem here. Verifying the game files doesn't help aswell.

pissa ay. mine dosnt even make the geiger counter sounds, try gettin irradiated again ?

Yeah I tried going into the radiation again and back out, tried dying in the radiation and also tried dying outside of the radiation. Nothing works for me :/

Same. Going in radiation and out worked for a bit, then when I respawned and the heat effect hit me, the noise came back. Seems like an ambient sound bug that plagues the map during status effects.

I had a sound issue with chainsaws off all things on SE. It would get stuck playing the idle sound effect for the chainsaw if i used it while riding a thorny dragon. So whenever you go near the thorny you heard that chain saw effect which was kinda comical due to the fact it made him sound like a harley davidson sitting there. At some point after we parked him away from camp due to the noise it just stopped.

I found a workaround but it may be abit hard to do. This bug happened to be once me and my friend defeated Rockwell on our non-dedicated server, and my game crashed before going to the ascension cinematic animation. When I logged back in, I was instantly killed by a rock drake, as I was teleported back to the terminal. Since I was killed while also taking damage from radiation, I spawned back in and it counted as if I had ascended, and that's when the glitch started. I started to look around this, and after many suicides, relogging and deleting my character, I managed to fix this by using the Ascension command in the exact momment the sound had stopped. So basically, walk around, punch things and find somewhere or something that makes the sound stop even for a few momments, then quickly use any of the ascension commands and you shall fix your character.

Same for me. Hear it non stop after the first time i was suffering from radiation damage.

I am stuck with this audio bug now too. I have no idea how to get the radiation sounds to stop. (im nowhere near a rad zone and have done everything i can think of, trying to get it to stop. No rad debuff on me, and no radiation zone symbol at the bottom, but I constantly hear radiation sounds now, even after killing myself and respawning back in the mushroom forest.)

ok, i finally got it to stop playing the sound. I can confirm that this method works. I had to try 3 or 4 times to get the timing perfect on using one of the ascension cheat commands just as the radiation sound was dying out. The sound is basically on an infinite loop, but there is a very brief window before the sound resets and plays again each time and you have to wait for it.(the action you are doing doesnt matter, you can just stand there and wait for it)
(this was in a single player game, not sure if that matters)
