When creating a tribe, the owner's dinos all became tribe-owned... help please
I am playing on a private PC-type server (but I personally am playing on PS4.) The map is Ragnarok and it is Prim+.

I was by myself, and created a tribe (so I could use the tribe log to easily see if dinos had died, etc.) At one point I was considering adding people to the tribe, so I set the governance to pretty strict policies - personal dino ownership, personal taming, only admin can destroy structures, etc.

Then I met a player and ended up joining his tribe (which was only him.) He invited me to the tribe and I accepted. The game showed a message saying I had left (my tribe) and then that I had joined (his tribe.)

The owner made me an admin and he set the settings to personal dino ownership, anyone can build, can build attached to tribe structures but only admins can destroy, tribe taming.

Here is where it gets weird. I can ride, use, whistle to control, etc - his dinos. He cannot do any of that to mine. If you look at my dinos, they all say "Tamed by mizugori" but if you look at the tribe owner's dinos, they all say "Tamed by (tribe name)"

Can anyone tell me how we can fix this? We tried changing it to "personal taming" even though that is a separate item from ownership. His dinos still remain tribe-owned.

We want it to be that each person owns their own dinos. That way there is no issue with our "whistle all" commands affecting each other's dinos when we are working together. We don't really need or want to share dinos.

*Please note - if the solution involves leaving and rejoining the tribe, it needs to be done in such a way that I don't lose access to, or the ability to destroy, my currently existing stuff ie my old base, etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I am not a server admin but I'm not sure if you got the situation exactly - First I am not the tribe owner. Second my dinos are fine it's working for my dinos - no one but me can use my dinos. The issue is only the tribe owner, the game seems to automatically switch the owner's dinos to tribe ownership as soon as someone joins their tribe for the first time.

Also unfortunately alliances do not work when offline raid protection is turned on, as it is currently (not my choice) on this server.

To fix this make sure ownership and taming are set to personal. Then unclaim all Dino's that say tamed by xxx tribe. Whoever claims the Dino after that will be the new owner. It will still say tamed by xxx tribe. but should also list the current owner of I remember correctly.

Have you tried to unclaim the 'tribe owned' dinos and have him reclaim them so that it resets the perms of the dinos?

Thanks! I will try having him unclaim and reclaim his dinos - don't care what it says when you hover over the dino, but the end result we want is if a tribe member tries to ride someone else's dinos, they cannot, and if one of us whistles it only affects that person's dinos, not every dino in the tribe within earshot.

Well it is the internet, it's to be expected lol. Personally though I wish that they could fix the way tribe perms function because if you decide you want to have personal pin and locks that's great and it works, but then if you make community crafting stations you're screwed with every damn server restart and having to unlock them for the rest of the tribe to be able to use them. Using the 'allstructurelocking=false' doesn't do squat to fix it either. I've messed with ranks as well and that doesn't function well either because people in higher ranks can access lower ranks. Or at least I have yet to figure out a way to set it up to function properly without the crafting stations all becoming inaccessable whenever having to restart the server.

I also wish that they would allow people the option to turn their dino 'public' within a tribe. So that say someone tames a bunch of dinos and have a few extras, we could have it on personal tame personal ride, and then set a dino as a 'tribe' dino that everyone could use.

Agreed, I don't know why they don't just simply it and have two options - Tribe leadership controls dino ownership or each individual controls ownership of their dinos - then add an option to the radial menu so for each dino you can manually designate it as private or tribe use. (If the governance is set for leadership to make these calls then only they see that option in the radial menu.) Simple...? But you know. Wildcard.
