Sarco Death Lake in Aberration?

So I went to try to cross a lake on my ravager today. I expected to encounter some sarcos, maybe a spino, possibly a giant crab thing and probably a bunch of piranhas. It was risky. I did not expect HUNDREDS of sarcos, though. Seriously, this looks like it's overspawning... I was only able to capture a fraction of the sarcos teeming in this small lake. Is anyone else encountering this?

I saw at least 4x that at one point.... This is concidered the "medium" area and they chew through two ravagers in about 10 seconds. The spawn rates seemed a little off to me.

Reminds me of the first time I played on The Center. Jumped into the ocean only to see a megalodon about every 10 feet. Noped out of there and went into the nearby river only to be instantly attacked by about 2 dozen megapiranha. Too many water and swamp spawns seems to be a reoccurring theme with this game.

I have a base by there. instead of sacro's is pirranas for me. First time I was in there I swam back and forth easily. Now, I get in there and there's so many of those munchers I can't see the other side of the swarm

Ugh, I can't stand the piranha in this game. Their aggro range is higher than my view distance. Which is maxed out. Something about that doesn't sit well with me.

It's a private server; I would just replace them with coel spawns, if I knew the aberrant version of the string. I don't mind fighting sarcos, I just don't like it when there are so many that they clip into my body and basically trap me and my mount so we can't fight back.

I just encountered this myself, I had jumped onto the island in the center to get the metal, and when I checked the water before crossing I took one look and there were around 40 of them gunning it towards my face.

if I hadnt had a zipline ready to fire from my crossbow id have been dead, damn ravager saved my life.
