I havent had a chance to try these out yet but if they are anything like the primitive + total conversion item they may need to be placed in water and have bait put in their inventories, than over time it will generate fish meat. If that doesnt work than further testing is required.

The only thing you can do after placing it down is pressing E to pick it back up again.
I've placed it down right near some Lampreys and they don't seem interested in it at all ;o super confused

Place near some fish and wait. Now pick it up and release it - > tamed fish

ok after some test its usless for you. after u place it in the water NEAR the fish. step 2 when fish come close YOU have to press E to pick up basket WITH this specific FISH. and all you can do is RELESE the fish BACK TO WATER. after spoil time its gone from your bp. MAYBE its for taming something

actually wont mind having some sabertooth salmon for guarding my water pen the bleed is actually pretty dangerous
