Nameless in the blue zone

Hey. We just settled in the blue zone and we are constantly being attacked by endless swarms of nameless to the point we constantly have 2-3 guys fighting them constantly. Is there any way to prevent them spawning or keep them out of an area? We've put up gates etc but they seem to magically spawn inside of them?

try foundations within the base. Gates dont stop spawning as far as I know. Its just a guess though

tame and pet a bulbdog, it keeps them out

The charge creatures give a buff that makes you resistant to Nameless (they wont spawn around you, and existing ones get burned).

Okay thing is we've been using the bulb things and they still seem to spawn. Is this working as intended or should they be unable to spawn if we have the bulbdogs?

In the wiki says if you pet them and such, they theorically dont spawn, rare...

any source of light you can craft/tame should work since they hate light

I'm unsure if it was a glitch, but they chased my partner out towards the lake, then spawned like hell all around our base. Had to use the DestroyWildDinos to stop the infestation. Even with the bulbdogs.

They are these kinda monkey things.One is an alpha and is kinda red/magma looking.
Reg light sources appear to have no effect at all whilst bulbdogs do give a debuff but do nothing to prevent ridiculous amounts spawning. We had to pack up and move base because we couldnt handle the bloody things

So when you have the bulbdog's charge active, you should get a buff called charged. If the bulbdog isnt activated, you wont get the effect, and if even one person in the group doesnt have the effect on them, the nameless will spawn

You need to grow some Species Z plants. The weird bulbs with the tongue occasionally spit out seeds. (Heard an unconfirmed rumor that they eat glow bugs and spit out a seed from a tribemate)
