How to use Cliff Platforms

My friend and I have been playing Abberation and we're wondering if anyone has figured out where to place them down? If you knnow, could you tell us where and send a screenshot so we know what we're looking for.

cant figure it out either. snaps on to the cliff and just says "out of placement range" no matter how cloase i get...

Hello! I'm not sure on all the specifics, but it'll let me place them on a cliff face below me. Like, standing on the edge of a cliff trying to place under where you are. Hope that helps!

you need to place them below your waistline, it's tricky but possible. Same goes with the retractible ladder

Yeah, I was just having problems with the rope ladder, it's annoying
