Rollrat taming

Was wondering which way am I supposed to tame the roll rat, is it passive or ko tame and what is the best item to use. Edit: Solution has been posted below.

The Rollrat i encountered didnt have a "put taming food in last item slot" when i was looking at it, i do know though NOT to pick up the gems it digs up.... those are his and he keeps them and eats your face if you touch them.

Use honey to tame them, it's surprisingly easy

Honey can be dropped when used from the inventory, like a sticky treat grenade of non explosiveness, most animals will follow a honey trail.

you must throw the honey exactly on the hole, if the Rat dig in the Ground.

Put the honey on your bar, and hit the button.

Are you guys even seeing the press e to feed rollrat? We are unable to spot them on our server.

there is no "e"

Just throw the Honey on the Hole if the Rat diggs in the Ground. And only Honey.
maybe you need some trys, but it works. ^^

To anyone still confused or still looking for an answer: the way you tame the roll rat is that you wait for it to burrow and then throw honey at it (to throw place item in toolbar and press the numbered key, dont worry you wont eat the honey) do not drop from inventory. you will later see a taming bar starting to fill up. Repeat until tamed

Spearworld is right we have tamed 4 roll rats with honey dropped on the hole after they dig into the ground.

honey combs area all over the portal area just walk up to them to collect then run like hell
