attack this target = attack my target.

im riding a yuty in boss fights. i am solo. how do i keep my army on the boss when they insist on attacking my target? attack this target just puts them in attack my target. i cant use my roar because of constant attack this target whistle. do boss minions always go for the player? maybe i can just whistle neutral. i can deal with the minions... i just wish my army trusted me to do so.

Attack my target = whatever you are currently attacking all Dino's in range will try to kill that target. It's a dino stance.

Attack this target = an explicit order given to the Dino's to attack this particular thing you are aiming at.

The latter is better for bosses otherwise if you attack a minion and you're using the first one... Then all your Dino's will stop attacking the boss and run over to kill the minion.

If your hotkeys are doing something unexpected it's because you've likely changed the defaults.

Yuty is ranked pretty high on the agro list. So yeh if you are riding a yuty Dino's will agro you first up.

So keep your Dino's on neutral or aggressive. Then use the attack this target whistle to focus them on the boss as needed.

does not mater what i set dinos on whistle attack this target puts them in attack my target. they will run at the target you told them to attack but the second you attack anything else like a minion they will switch to the minon as a new target.. keys are default..... point at broodmother attack this all run to broodmother. bite an araneo minion with yuty they all return to fight that minion. tested outside boss battle. set to ANYTHING after being told to attack a specific target via "attack this target" puts all dinos on " attack my target". all i can do is tell them to attack broodmother then whistle neutral to keep them on her.... if that even works.. i know what the settings do im asking if this is a bug or is anyone got a strat and is aware of this. certainly is happening on my server. i go in in passive. the only thing i tell them is attack broodmother. switches from passive to attack MY target with first priority brood.... dont attack anything else though which i cant do. thought maybe it was the passive but it isnt. passive, aggressive and neutral all change to attack MY target. excuse my crappy keyboard.... i cant keep pushing period all fight the first time should do it and then let me fight minions. im used to them treating attack THIS target as still being in neutral .. just being givin a target to attack. tested 5 boss fights . were on passive. tested yutys after infront of base. attack this bronto....... bite turtle with my yuty..... other yuty immediately stops attacking bronto returns and bites turtle. only out was whistle neutral after bronto gets hit. that way bronto hits other yuty and they fight exclusively. thanks for imput but .. i mean for that to be true .... i would have had to start the fight by biting the broodmother not by whistle command. Oh yes i did see the comment about neutral and aggressive but that doesnt stop the attack this target from changing dinos to attack my target. i would have to just get them close to her and use neutral or aggressive making the whistle almost useless.( move to this position would work the same.) IN SHORT: "attack this target" is doing what its supposed to but ALSO setting the army in "attack my target" leaving it impossible to defending myself without them switching targets.
