If you can't wait, put -nomansky in the launch settings. I think thats the command line anyway..
With this bug you also get a freeze within about 30 seconds of succesfully loading. Once again, it's not permanently frozen. Just let it sit and eventually it will unfreeze and you will then be able to play.
If it's single player you can use the "Destroywilddinos" command to temporarily fix the loading freeze issue once you successfully enter the game.
Ok thanks so far, ill test your suggestion!
Already tried that as well :(
Hm ok, ive already waited once for like 30 mins and it was still "frozen" but i will try it more often now, thanks !
It still "freezes" after beeing 20-30 seconds on any server.
I've than also waited 30 mins in all cases to see if it works after that, but no... it doesnt. :(
Do you guys have any more suggestions ?
Or is the only thing i can hope for, that they fix this bug somewhere in the future ?
Im close to getting insane here ..
It's a VERY long shot, but do you play ark on a hard drive by some chance?
I got it installed on my HDD ye, cause my SSD dont have enough space when ark gets an 1gb update. Even when there is 40 gb freespace left after installing.
is the HDD the problem ?
Well obviously you're having problems with loading times..
So possibly, I own a 950 512gb pro m2 ssd and ark loads in literal seconds, and have an 1tb 850 pro sata 3 SSD for other games/important applications. And finally a 1tb hard drive for other applications.
The M.2 runs at 2500-3000MB/s read speed, one of the fastest you can buy, and was the fastest before the 960 pro.
The 850 pro runs at 550-600mb/s, the limit for sata 3 ssd's. Still far faster than a hard drive.
I always had it on my HDD and never had problems with loading. Of course it took longer than on my SSD, but at least it worked.
when i know wait 30-40 minutes, nothing has changed. That would have to be a 1kb/s loading than.
Maybe i will try to install it on my SSD ?
But than i had to reinstall the whole game, everytime they release an update.
Your best bet is to buy a larger ssd, and store ark on it. Plus hard drives degrade over time, as they write onto the magnetic disk within the parts wear away, thusly causing artefacts and lower speeds/efficiency.
How long have you had your hard drive?
Even when i take all this effort and money to buy a new SSD, no one knows if that would fix the problem. Cause it worked on my HDD the whole time just fine.
Everything else works fine as well.
It is only Ark, causing those problems.
I think ill just test install it on my SSD and see if the problems stays there as well.
Thanks for you time & suggestions!
That would be a great idea, try it out, see how it works out. ^^
