JUST GOT ARK SCORCHED EARTH WTF?

trying to play the expansion in this games is making me think why bother i get into it start it then it SUPPOSEDLY CRASHES my video card i have all latest drivers plz find my dxdiag below

Hmm , just had a quick look thro recent posts and seems a few people are suffering this to, While the crash isn't a new one has been around for awhile it doesn't seem to be as frequent as it is currently. Not a stab at you hardware but it does seem looking at other posts that its more frequent on older cards, may be something in the recent patch?

At the risk of suggesting the worst case scenario have you tried a full re-instal of the game ? completely removing any registry left behind before re-installing.

I don't think the issue is your gfx hardware but with the game itself, that or the other thing that sticks out is most the posts are nvidia cards but I use an AMD and have (from time to time) this same crash hence I think it's game related not hardware or drivers.

also not sure if anyone tried but i was supposedly missing 2 files after dl SE as i did a integrity check and poof 2 are back wonder if this is the problem

This will always be the case it's the same with vanilla except that always has 3 files "missing" I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Where do you people get your info. Nothing changed about Alienware when dell purchased the company, except that Dell is now the owner. The manufacturing, processes, staff, everything stayed the same. The same machines are being sent out the door that have always been manufactured in the factory. Dell changed nothing about the business itself.

They actually changed quite alot about the components used, Alienware used nothing but the very best hence the pricetag right down to the best memory chips etc etc everything used to be military grade. Dell took over and instantly started using the same age old shoddy components they use for desktops and just threw in most recent gpus / cpus

Yes Dell made it's supply line available for manufacturing but any decisions on changing components remained with Alienware. Dell actually had no say on what was actually used in each product line. That was part of the contract in the acquisition. Quality remained with the Alienware family as well so they retain sole control over product creation. The product lines actually went up in quality measures every year since the purchase by Dell. This is from first hand knowledge.

is it actually your machine thats having trouble? One of the files for SE might have become corrupted, have you tried validating your instalation through steam? Used to we could could delete files from ark and still play (in my case, the farts) but the first winter event changed how the system handles its files and one bad/missing file makes the whole thing explode.

The benchmarks are a good point if you look at mobile units alone however the desktop side of it is a different arguement. That said the competion for comparison isn't really there and the differences between any ROG or even a Razer Laptop is literally 1-2fps hardly worth the extra cash that said ironically the Razer Blade was slightly higher priced if memory serves well unless you added the option extras like a 4k ips screen to the alienware.

Right. That's what I was saying. There isn't competition for comparison because they still make the best on the market. That doesn't mean that you can't still get a much better deal for your dollars. I bought an Alienware three years ago and have loved it ever since. But for my most recent gaming PC I went with one from CyberPower because I could get more for my money. Just as happy with it but that doesn't change the fact that when I look over at my Alienware I'm still looking at the Rolls Royce.

I still think 1-2fps is debateable as being the best, I'd say it's the same as every other highend gaming laptop out there, cosmetically yep they are lovely to look at performance wise they're not really any better, now a Rolls ... again same scenario we all know they aren't the best cars by far on the road, engines are great but the rest of the money was just spent sticking diamonds to the dashboard.
