Best stats to level on an Ankylosaurus?

Main use for Ankys is mining. Therefore, increasing melee damage will give you more metal per metal node. Some player level weight too, but I prefer to combine the anky with another weight carrying dino for transport and focus the anky on melee.

There has been a discussion a while back, where people actually found there is a big gap in melee. Up to a certain point, you get more metal with more melee, but there was a tipping point where you actually started getting less. If you had a really high melee anky, it went up again I believe.
I think that tipping point was around 400 or something?
Especially since x2 is the new default, I've started leveling weight.

Weight and a bit in movement speed. I hate how slow ankies start out, so i usually put a few points into movement. Getting from node to node faster=faster harvesting

Maybe it has to do with the harvest health of the metal nodes. Maybe hitting twice with an average melee anky gives you more then hitting it once with a high melee anky and then the node disappears. That sounds possible. Never tried it though.

Just because some mention speed too: I usually team up for mining. I am flying the quetz and carry the anky. A team mate is sitting on the anky and mines the metal. The weight is carried by the quetz and the speed doesnt matter either because I carry the anky around. Back at base I drop the full anky directly in front of the forge.
