How to make squid grab you too tame it?

Been trying for 45 mins using different fish to have a squid grab me so i can tame it but it just uses normal attack, im free to move and have no torpor effect....ideas ?

any1 on official tamed one yet ? vids of privates the first thing it does is grab you...official..nothing

i've tamed it, but not on official. though i attack it first to get it's attention, then it seems to do the attack.

i tried for over an hr with 3 different squid.
different rides different fish and not once did i get grabbed...seems its bugged on officials.

I've heard people use a Turtle to attack the squid and while the squid is occupied with that you can start the tame. I've never seen a squid yet so I couldn't say how effective this actually is.

Sometime it manage to hold my mosa , sometime it doesn't . Very confusing indeed .
Also , squid will outright kill turtle .

Keep provoking it, swim around, maybe it's just not in the mood or their grab attack is actually low chance based.

How many mosas does one have to sacrifice to tame this damn squid. Ugh.

Yes, it's a high HP expendable turtle people have used.

i tried itchy dunky and mosa and none of they would grab anything.

seen plenty of vids of people using mosa but not on official.
even the lvl 250+ ones im cave dont grab my mosa and ive cleared it at least 20 times already.

I gave up, it is super hard. This was an reoccurring problem for me too.

it looks like that the squid cant grab you on pve, i tried that in singleplayer on pvp it can on pve it cant

I just tried it again , it could grab my mosa , however i didn't have a chance to check if i can feed it with pearl .

don't use turtles, they die wayyyy too fast. unless you have a mastercraft+ saddle, i wouldn't bother. i just used my mosa and it was able to last long enough for me to tame one.
