Pegomastax - Taming question

Hi there, has anyone a clue on how these are tamed? I put some vegies on my last spot on my hotbar and yeh it steals it and dashes away, but for the life of me I have no clue how to complete this tame.

In frustration I punched its lights out and retrieved all my stolen goodies from his inventory, but the message says it needs to be tamed whilst awake.

So ideas please?

u put a full stack of the mejos veggies in the last slot and let it keep robbing you until its tamed. it will take the whole stack at at time so in between refill stack

i also use my taming pen to tame it and it works just fine

To tame in a taming pen: Using a flyer, drop one in a small pen (can be as small as 1x1) made out of fence foundations and railings 2 to 4 high so they can't get ou (I used stone railings). Empty yourself of all inventory except for mejos or veggies in stacks of 10 or more. I just kept putting the smaller stacks in my last hotbar slot. If there is nothing in your last slot, they will steal randomly from your inventory. (Hence why you empty your inventory - I had one steal my fur chest piece that was in my inventory once because my last hotbar slot was empty - they're bastards, lol) Just stand in the taming pen with them and they will steal from you and try to run away. Just sit and wait until the timer resets and they steal from you again. I tamed a 115 with about 1 stack of citronal split up into stacks of 10 (our server has 5x taming so mmv).

They can be quirky to tame. I tried several times to tame one on purpose, wandering nonchalantly past them, and they'd steal the berries and just run off. Then, a bit later on when I'd crossed the map to do something else, two of them that I hadn't noticed were there grabbed the berries and insta-tamed themselves. Go figure.

They're not much use though, but I like to get the new dinos when they come out.

Never had any trouble yet... I just dropped some 150's (one at a timr, not all at once lol) inside a 3x3 taming pen and let them steal stacks of 20 mejo berries from my 0 slot. After they took the berries and run off into the corner I'd go stand next to them an wait for them to steal the next one.

Well, you get eggs from them. Always good for possible future tames. :)

i put 85 mejo and got a lvl 60 pretty quickly

I'm having this problem as well, I've tried both the pen and without. Was a solution ever found?

I did actually :) But thank you for asking.
It didn't say anything about taming with 20 berries at a time, which I've just found thru a reddit thread that had been necro'd several times.
