Issues joining non-dedicated server

Since the new patch launched I've been unable to connect to the non-dedicated server I play on with my friend! Everytime I try to connect to him, the game crashes. He keeps receiving this error message when I try to connect:

Fatal error!

VERSION: 253.0
UnknownModule!UnknownFunction (0x0000000000000000) + 0 bytes [UnknownFile:0]

Is this a known issue or is anyone else getting this?

Make sure you both have it off. Otherwise it won't work. Some mods may slow the process down because they have to download it to join, so big things like Annunaki (unless they have it) will probably d/c them.

This is a problem from 2016. and BattleEye is a source of problems, not a fix.
