Uncatchable Big Fishes

I'm trying to catch 2.8x fish for 2 ,5 hours and mostly time run out. This isnt the max x fish max is 3.5x (i guess) how other people can catch those fishes, are they machine or something. i cant fish 2.0x+ fishes, is there a trick behind it ?

ive had this same problem with a 3.5 coel, i had a 313% effectiveness mc rod and spent over an hour trying to get it to bite i even killed every other fish in the pond and boxed him in....wouldnt bite no matter what

ive also failed to get a 3.2 and 3.0 coel in other ponds to bite after a long time of trying

If they aren't biting, you'll need to use leech blood (or better, if there's a better bait). Sap won't attract big fish.

Other than that, I don't know--could be a glitch.

i tried sap and leech blood, anything over 3.0 doesnt respond to either with an mc rod, granted we were pulling up acendant bps with 2.0 and lower fish so anything i caught would probly be uncraftable lol

They do eventually take it. I had the same problem with this one damn coel. It just wouldn't bite. Went on to smaller fish. At some point a while later that big sucker came up and took the bait, i didn't manage to catch it though, the big ones are hard to reel in on time!

i spent an over an hour with the bait right on him and no other fish he never bit, what bait and % rod?

Mc rod, not sure on the %. I always use leech blood for fishing. One thing i can tell you though. Go for the sabertooth salmon. Iv never had anything that was very good off coel but on the salmon iv had fantastic loot off anything over 1.1 in size.

oh? Iv literally had not one good drop from coel but the salmon have been very consistant with good loot.
I remember reading somewhere that there is a limit to the size of the fish you can catch with sap. 1.4 or something?? I may be wrong, just something i vaguely remember reading.

I had Jourman(purple) pole . I thought pole's quality only for better loots i didn think with better pole u can easily fisj big fishes but isnt purple pole enough ? that pole's quality is %305.

Biggest I have caught is 3.3. It was hard and I am pretty sure I had to press over 24 keys in 20 sec.

Damn, Thats a prize catch! I got real close on a 3.0 but failed. I think 2.4 is my best that iv actually got in.

Don't think it makes it any easier to catch them. Just better loot. Jm should net you some decent gear.
