tired of hearing about the "Chinese"

I don't understand about all this blame on the "Chinese" and quite frankly, every-time i hear it, i feel like its an excuse. But Why?

Are you saying they are more numerous? Are you saying they are more skilled? why do you use Chinese to classify difficult players? as a server admin, i've seen a tribe of no-lifers encroach and takeover a server. Blaming Chinese is one of the many habbits this community has that
makes it one of the most toxic communities since DOTA and LOL.

I do my best to make positive posts, because they are so few and far between, but.....the ignorance of this statement is enough to make someone give up on the world (or at leased the ark community). So tell me, what makes the chinese so awesome, that you blame them for all times you are nuked by a large tribe?

(I understand this may be sensitive subject, please close the thread immediately if i have broken any rules. Its 2016, i know we should be over racism.)

well, few points... it's not racist as of one, if that's what they are. it's like seeing a cow in the middle of a field and going "hey, it's a cow" or if said cow ate your straw hat "that godawful cow ate my straw hat"

As for why they're blamed on the chinese, well, there are voice chats present in the game, yes? and when in range you can hear said voices, correct? and if one is capable of differentiation between dialects and the languages in that part of Eurasia, then it'd be a simple matter of narrowing down where the dialect comes from, simple as that.

I for one stand as a "stand as one" so I can see the benefits of starting in a massive group co-ordinating well and sttacking in unison to overwhelm forces (strategies of RTS games I play, which... funnily enough players from China, Japan and Korea tend to dominate) It's a valid strategy, while whining does really nothing to stem it...


but, given that at least some of the players will use cheats anti-cheat on this game is easy to get around to be frank, stealthy signatures, slight increases to stats, increases of damage. nothing too much to trigger BattleEye or Steam VAC

One cheater is too much, especially if they use a program that is good enough to give the standard speed hacks, stat hacks, etc. But, I'd rather the officials shut down, with a 200 hour period of unlimited animal transfers for people to go find an unofficial server to go set up on.

Racist ya say hmmmm ,i wonder if this is maybe becouse every time a server gets whiped or griefed nonstop it is by players from asia ,and most of the time its by using exploits

Now before you act all ignorant ive fought the wars and farmed nonstop for days and let me tell you now this kind of gameplay these so called chinese are investing in spells doom for most ark servers becouse doesnt matter how you build or how manny guns you have they will find a way in ,mostly when everyone is ofline wheter its by using render glitch to barrel rol phetra in your base or skybombing with rockets

It almost makes it worthless to do annything in this game but farm weapons and tame phetras nonstop and simply grieve and loot anny body that is ofline


and the aimbot and macro shooting is for real ,and ya say im talking out my ass with no proof then ya welcome to join on the next fight cz there still gonna be hundreds of fights before ark dies

A chinese tribe just DDOSed Server 82 the other day. Brought the server down. Logged in and requested the Tribes take down the spawn node blocks so they could bring in their forces. When the server tribes said no they continued to DDOS the server. They don't believe they are cheating. They do what it takes to win. It's just in their culture. It's why the communities should be seperate. They don't mix well.

Charsetproblem, not based on anything related to chinese or chinese language, if i write in arabic letters, kyrillic letters, or anything else than the standard charset that your game installation uses: boxes in chat.

First of all, DDOS isnt cheating, its breaking the law.
There is no way to "Exclude chinese people from playing ark", the only thing they could do is to make servers that are ping limited.

DDOS is both breaking the law and cheating. They are using a method to prevent the people on the server from playing till they get their way. Also there are numerous videos out of chinese tribes streaming while they cheated. Using aimbots and the like to secure dominance over other tribes. I myself was shot dead within my own base by a sniper rifle months back by a chinese tribe. The complaints about this are not solely based on racism. This is actually happening. Sure there are racist on this forum unfortunately. But that does not mean all people talking about this are.


Also you can region lock servers. Wouldn't be the first time people have done this. Though I would not be surprised if they found a back door into the servers after it was done. But it would make it slightly more challenging for them to get in. I never said "Exclude" I said seperate the communities. Give them their own servers. Wildcard has way too many servers running right now. It would not be impossible to setup something like that up. I work with the chinese in my job. They arn't douche bags or evil. But their culture is different. They see cheating as fair play. We see it as being scumbags. It's why it's so rampant in their gaming communities.

The question is, what would you do if a tribe from EU or US starts to do that?
Because all stuff that is posted here as reasons to divide a specific group of people from the others, besides the racist way of saying "dem chineze, put dem awayyy from da geme!", ANY player of tribe can do in the same way.

Fixing a symptom can never help defeating the disease, and calling the symptom "mindset of chinese culture" is the absolute worst thing ive ever seen.

I also know MANY people who love to cheat, to win without any risk, to destroy others gameplay no matter what it takes or costs, none of them grew up in china or is chinese.

We, as a community, need to stop refering to a culture when ranting about problems of the game itself.

it's in their culture, they are raised to be "very" competitive, and to do whatever it takes to win.

and i'm not making this up, i was in school with a chinese friend of mine, he HAD to be the best in everything, or his parents would punnish him. aiming for "perfection" "being the best" all that stuff, is just how it is

are they legit? i don't know. the ones i fought (both wins and losses) didn't appear to be shady so i can't speak for them all

they just are "good" because they have an immense sense of coordination. task distribution like pro's lol and that is in every game

in guild wars 2 i played in the esl leagues on my mesmer. when you are playing against a chinese (or korean, those guys are even more hardcore) you know you'll in for a hard time

same for dota2
