Hello everyone
I saw a wonderful videos about ark gameplay..
I was wondering how to record videos like these.. without lagging or big size videos?

There are amazing moments and
adventures to document.

What gpu do you use? If you have NVidia the best thing you can use is Shadowplay, no performance hit at all from it.

At the top of Steam click on "Help" and then "System Information". That will tell you what you have.

Shadowplay is the program for recording. It is hardware based on your NVidia gpu. As for size, it depends on the resolution, but the files are big.

With Shadowplay running you hit alt-f9 to start recording and alt-f9 again to stop. Or alt-f10 to save the last 10 minutes of play if not recording.

A 30 second video on almost epic settings at 1920x1080 is 10GB.

It will record whatever resolution you are playing.

What?

I recorded a 20 minute video, at 1080p, it was 5gb, at high.

they added better compression, I was able to do a 2k epic video 5min at 5gb video size. Then I just use Handbrake to shrink it.

Yes, use Handbrake to compress it. But I just recorded a 30 second clip a couple days ago and it was 10GB.
